Painting sound: My journey of Home and The world

I think home is nothing about functionality or purpose but a place/space where you feel comfortable. I think home is a very personal experience . The experience of home is very individually oriented and again its how people try to find tangibility of home and world. Its interesting to see how we complicate everything around us in order to simplify everything.
My project is about finding the meaning of home and the world on a very personal level and to show what the journey result in.
The video “padhaaro mhaare desh” led me to search for more music videos and these helped me form my meaning of home and the world.At the same time , I needed a point of tangibility of this meaning and after trying out visual and film , I came up with the conclusion that the only way I can prove its tangibility is to document it in one more complex medium and that led to paint and try to translate or decode music into painting and product would show my documentation of the space the music creates.
Sigur Ros:Valtari
This song decribes home as a place and the space at the same time and records it in the perfect way which the combination of visuals and music and the idea of performing arts being a image of a human and how he finds his match and showcasing and capturing this with the constrast of the place and the space the music ( created by band sigur ros) creates.
My basic idea of making this was to try to record the contrast of the space and the place how and its makes total sense of aesthetics also reminding me of people who think that home is what you make of it and how you keep it and it becomes a part of their personality .
I also wanted to record the movements and the slight change of expression on it which I tried to highlight in this work piece showing the complete sense of aesthetics with a repetitive nature.
The song decribes a journey completed by two different people and how they meet and become one and displace the factor the space being alien and foreign to them and make it a part of their lives , how the incorporation of music is done to give the video a unique perspective the look upon is the reason I chose this song .

Arambolla:Hang Music
This piece was inspired by a unique band which has instruments like the Kamancha and the hang drum.It shows me how different people favour different element and how they choose upon them to create their perfect house and different guidelines create this image of home that everyone has inside themselves . This is where I realised that the definition of home and the world had a very deep meaning to it and cannot be explained tangibly.
I wanted to have a critical nature when making this peice and how that would affect my work and transform it , this is where I came up with this idea of breaking up the music into a journey and inter weaving instruments and potraying them on paper with the journey
Tool : Right In Two
This song was the main reason that my definition changed into something very deep and simple and how we create these complications to give meaning and reason to everything and how we try to create the superficial home ignoring the fact that everything is home from the moment of consciousness.
This song decribes the journey how this planet was made looking upon this matter through the perspective of god and how he gave us so much and how we complicate and destroy everything to give purpose and reason and gain control over everything and how God (us) himself is consumed in this process.
This gave me a whole new meaning to the word home and the world and changed me a lot making this song and this work of mine really close to me.
