Journey

Home is very closely related to journey. People tend to relations as to journey in a way that it would lead home becomes home is pace of comfort and it is the first thing one would like to see and feel after a long tiresome travel.

But what if home itself is a process of journey.  People may need to travel from one place to another from time to time because of their jobs , financial reasons or maybe because they choose to. For them home is mobile space. It is the journey rather than the current place that they will refer to as home because their experiences related to home have so many references to where their home was. But could home also be a journey. The process of house being a home is itself a journey. We all say that we ourselves make our homes. but what about the people who were the first to built the physical structure of home. These people always build home for others but what is 'Home' for them?

A reference to the life of Alexander Supertramp, a.k.a Christopher Mccandless who's home was the journey he set out on. His home was the present.

“Home is where one starts from” this saying literally applies for the people who work at the construction place. Their home and their work place are one and the same. I have always heard people saying that they feel so bored and tired the moment they enter their work place. But what about people whose home and their workplace is one and the same.

Very few get to experience the luxury of having a home where they can go back at the end of tiring day at work. We never really think about those who don’t have the vital facility of home. Can somebody’s work place can operate as their home. What about homes which are portable? These questions made me ponder over the lives of construction workers. We never really think about where they live and which their actual home is. We always see a small ingeniously created space where they have almost every basic necessity. But one thing that flickers in my mind is do they miss their old home. What is it that makes us remember the things that are so materialistic in nature and makes us attached to it? Only Indians have the concept of having a home. Those who don’t have are considered to be homeless. But for many people the rented houses are home for them. So what is it that makes the four walls home?
